Yes, I do know what you mean. This happens with the solid images and it is totally frustrating.
Whenever I get new images, I road-test certain ones to be sure they make a good impression. I always grab the Colorbox Charcoal Chalk ink pad, and it seems I never get a beading-up problem with the chalk inks.
It was only at an art retreat that a friend/ customer told me of their problem with the ink beading up. We pulled out the same stamp, she used dye, and I used chalk. Hers beaded up, mine didn't. Big difference!
For some reason, once you use the chalk on a new OnyxXpressions stamp, it is primed to better-accept other inks afterwards.
I did a quick sampler with one of the stamps purchased that is solid. The first ink used was Blue Lagoon chalk, and then the second ink was Lapis Blue Ancient Page.
